These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the JoJo’s Inspection App (“JoJo’s”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and the related property inspection, inventory, cleaning and reporting services.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the App.
1. Who Can Use the App
The App is provided for landlords, letting agents, property managers, inventory clerks, inspectors and other property professionals.
You must be at least 18 years old, and able to enter into a binding agreement, to use the App.
If you use the App on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Access is by registered account only. Accounts, logins and access links must not be shared with anyone else.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend or close an account that is misused, shared, or used in breach of these Terms.
3. Authority to Inspect a Property
You are responsible for making sure you have the legal right and authority to access, inspect, photograph and document any property you enter into the App.
This includes obtaining the necessary permission from landlords, tenants, occupiers or owners, and giving any notice required by law or by a tenancy agreement.
JoJo’s does not check or verify that you hold this authority.
You must comply with all applicable laws when attending and inspecting a property.
4. Your Responsibility for Information Entered
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information you enter, including property details, room and item descriptions, condition ratings, notes, meter readings and key information.
You must not enter information that you know to be false or misleading.
Where you enter information about other people, for example tenants, landlords or contractors, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so.
5. Inspection Report Limitations
Reports generated by the App reflect the information and photographs recorded at the time of the inspection.
Reports are a record and opinion of condition. They are not a building survey, structural survey, valuation, or a professional opinion on the safety or compliance of the property or its services.
The App does not replace professional judgement. A report must be reviewed by a competent person before it is issued or relied upon.
Small or hidden defects, and anything outside the areas inspected, may not appear in a report.
6. AI-Generated Content and Limitations
The App includes AI-assisted features, such as drafting descriptions, summarising notes, suggesting actions and formatting reports.
AI-generated content is an assistance tool only. It may be inaccurate, incomplete or based on assumptions.
You must review, correct and confirm all AI-generated content before relying on it, issuing it to anyone, or using it as evidence.
You remain responsible for the final content of any report you issue.
7. Safety and Compliance
The App is a record-keeping and reporting tool. It does not provide legal, safety, building, electrical, gas, fire or compliance advice.
You are responsible for your own health and safety while inspecting a property, and for complying with all applicable health, safety, fire and housing legislation.
Where a hazard or safety issue is identified, appropriate professional advice should be obtained.
8. Photos, Documents and Uploaded Content
You keep ownership of the photographs, documents and other content you upload.
You confirm that you have the right to upload that content, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
You give us permission to store, process and reproduce your content only as needed to provide the App’s services, for example generating reports and invoices.
You must not upload content that is unlawful or harmful, or that contains unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Where a photograph identifies a person, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to take and use it.
9. Acceptable Use
You must not use the App to break the law, or to mislead or defraud anyone.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, to other users’ accounts or data, or interfere with how the App works.
You must not use the App to harass, discriminate against or unlawfully monitor any person.
You must not copy, resell or provide the App to third parties as your own service.
10. Reports and Evidence
Reports are prepared by you or your organisation. Responsibility for the accuracy, and for the use, of a report rests with the person who issues it.
Once a report is downloaded, exported or shared, we no longer control how it is stored, used or disclosed.
A JoJo’s report must not be presented as an independent third-party certification, or as advice given by JoJo’s.
11. App Availability
We aim to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
The App may be unavailable during maintenance or updates, or because of events outside our control.
Some features need an internet connection. Offline features may sync later and may be limited.
We may change, add or remove features at any time.
12. Subscription and Payment Terms
Some services are chargeable. Prices, what is included, and how charges apply are shown at the time of booking or enquiry.
Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice.
Where a subscription or recurring charge applies, you authorise us to take payment for each period until you cancel.
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and may change. A change will not affect a booking already confirmed at a fixed price.
13. Cancellation
You may cancel a booking or subscription as agreed at the time of booking, or by contacting us.
Where a service has already been carried out, or a visit is cancelled with less than the agreed notice, a charge may still apply.
A subscription can be cancelled at any time and will stop at the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise.
14. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, software and content, other than your own content, belong to JoJo’s and are protected by copyright and other rights.
Report templates and layouts remain our property. You are given a licence to use them to produce reports for your own business.
You must not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the App except as allowed by law.
The JoJo’s name and logo remain our trade marks.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or for indirect or consequential loss.
We are not responsible for decisions taken, or not taken, on the basis of a report, or for inaccurate information entered into the App.
Where we are liable, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim.
16. Account Closure
You may close your account, or ask us to delete your data, at any time from the Privacy & Legal section in the App, or by contacting us.
We may suspend or close an account where these Terms are breached, where required by law, or where an account stays inactive for a long period.
After closure, records that must be kept for legal, contractual or dispute reasons may be retained. See the Privacy Policy for details.
17. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update these Terms, and change or withdraw features of the App, as the service or the law changes.
The current version of these Terms is always available in the App.
Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App.
