The appropriate lawful basis will depend on the circumstances and the information being processed.

Users should only share reports with people who have a legitimate reason to receive them.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Some technology providers used to operate JoJo’s may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable data protection law.

13. Children’s Information

JoJo’s is intended for property owners, agents, property professionals and other authorised adult users.

The App is not intended for use by children.

Inspection records should not unnecessarily contain personal information about children occupying a property.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, applicable laws or our services change.

The latest version will be made available within the App or through our website.

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information we hold about you at any time.

You can start a deletion request from the Privacy & Legal section in the App, or by contacting us using the details below. We will contact you by email once your request has been handled.

Depending on your request, this may include:

  • Your account and login details
  • Your personal information
  • Property records, reports and photographs that you ask us to delete

Some property inspection records may need to be kept for a period, for example where they relate to a deposit dispute, a legal claim, or a legal or regulatory obligation. Where we cannot delete something straight away, we will tell you why, and how long it will be kept for.

Deleting your account does not automatically delete reports that have already been issued to, downloaded by or shared with other people.
